InterSystems IRIS is a cloud-first data platform that offers a multi-model transactional data management engine, an application development platform, and an open analytics platform. It includes the capabilities of InterSystems Cache and Ensemble, as well as new capabilities for building and deploying cloud-based, analytics-intensive enterprise applications with improved performance and scalability. It provides a set of APIs for managing data simultaneously in key-value, relational, object, document, and multidimensional formats, and can be operated using SQL, Java, node.js, .NET, C++, Python, and native server-side ObjectScript language. It also includes an Interoperability engine and modules for building AI solutions, as well as features for horizontal scalability, high availability, business intelligence, transaction support, and backup.
