MediaShout is easy to teach volunteers how to operate, but requires a lot of processing power in the computer that increases exponentially with each successive upgrade. It is recommended to compare licensing model to other software programs and do your homework before purchasing. MediaShout solves graphic and video presentation problems in a church or production environment, allowing for professional delivery that is seamless to the viewing audience.

MediaShout 7 has made text entry cues very easy, but the upgrade from MS 5 & MS 6 to MS 7 is disappointing and unworkable for some customers due to small control buttons, a display window that will not adjust to a larger size, a fixed editor box that cannot resize, and the removal of the insert Comments feature. Customer service acknowledges the stated shortcomings of MS 7, but upgrade sales are final with no refund. It is recommended to be aware of these changes before upgrading from MS 6 to MS 7.
