ODOP:Spring is a web application for designing coil springs that is more powerful than a typical spring calculator. It uses the Open Design Optimization Platform (ODOP) software to find solutions for complex spring application requirements. Unlike other calculators, ODOP:Spring can invert formula relationships to meet constraints placed on problem variables and find the constrained extreme of any variable. If it cannot find a design that meets the designer's objectives, it will automatically converge to a compromise.
