OwnID is a passwordless authentication add-on for websites and apps. It takes the password hassle out of registration and login for your customers AND makes authentication more secure. OwnID can be easily added to existing registration and login forms. Our low code solution adds a minimalistic button to your forms and lets your visitors go passwordless while preserving the rest of the user experience. How it works: When browsing on a mobile device, tapping the passwordless button will prompt the phone's biometric scan (FaceID or fingerprint), which will authenticate the user in order to create their account or sign them in. When browsing on any device that isn't a phone, such as a desktop or smart TV, clicking the passwordless button will automatically prompt Apple users to authenticate with their phone’s FaceID/TouchID. Non-Apple users will be presented a QR code that they will scan with their phone and then authenticate via biometrics. No app is needed. The user's identity is tied to their phone and their identifying information is stored on their phone (OwnID does not store any information). Our fallback authentication technology ensures that user login is always successful, even if your user's phone is unavailable or they get a new phone. Our story: A group of veterans from the identity space and cybersecurity experts from the Israeli military came together to figure out an alternative to passwords that is simple to use, fast and secure.
